Clarkson’s Farm Drone Pilot – Aerial Filming at Diddly Squat
Back at Diddly Squat for another day on Clarkson’s Farm — one of our most regular jobs as a Clarkson’s Farm drone pilot, and one that never fails to deliver cinematic landscapes and classic Clarkson chaos.
Friday saw us return to the Cotswolds to film at Jeremy Clarkson’s iconic Diddly Squat Farm, the now-famous setting of the Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm. We’ve proudly been part of the drone team on this hit series since season 2, and have continued through seasons 3, 4, 5, and now 6.
While we can’t say what was being filmed on this particular day (the farm is full of surprises), we can say that it’s always a pleasure working with the team — capturing cinematic drone footage in the beautiful, rolling countryside that has become a character in the show itself.
From early morning aerials over the misty fields to tight tracking shots along the winding Cotswold lanes, it’s a perfect environment for high-end drone cinematography. For this shoot, we used a combination of the DJI Inspire 3 for dynamic movement and shallow depth-of-field shots, and the DJI Mavic 4 Pro for quick, high-resolution pickups.
We’ve developed a deep understanding of the filming flow on Clarkson’s Farm — working efficiently with the director, camera team, and talent while keeping safety and storytelling front of mind.
This work builds on our broader experience with Amazon Prime, with credits on The Grand Tour, Ben Stokes: Phoenix from the Ashes, and The Reluctant Traveller with Eugene Levy, among others.
